Although French doesn't brother me because it's my first language, shouldn't the tittle and the description be in French to in order to not confuse the english and also youtube's search engine. I try not to close my mind to anything creative - you never know what it could lead too. When Jimi Hendrix became known - there were traditional guitarist who called his style of playing abuse.

I attended a workshop where we were given a Norman guitar and the owner signed the guitar. After playing a few different kinds, the tone quality on this guitar compared to others was actually quite nice. Considering Godin guitars received the award for the best maker of guitars recently, I consider myself quite lucky to have received one.

Seth actually makes this exact point when he says to go and be the best in the world at what you do. You're also wrong about Apple. Their success has in fact come from catering to a small, tightly-focused community of tech "snobs" rather than the entire market. Seth's point is that the excellence of your product or service IS your marketing.

For example if there was an equal money system in place and all individuals had equal access to education - this would greatly influence the shape and development and overall skill level of the population. Where those who are seen as apparently unable to lead would now be equalized with those seen as having apparent special skills because the training would be available to all.

Great presentation, great ideas. Except he made up the part about the "failure" the inventor of sliced bread. Rohwedder came up with the idea in 1912, but didn't patent it and open a factory until 1928. The first loaf of commercially sliced bread was sold in July 1928. Wonder began selling sliced bread in 1930. Rohwedder sold SLICERS, Wonder sold BREAD. He sold his patent rights in 1933 and became VP to the manufacturer who bought them. Failure? I think not!

Unfortunately, social media provides the perfect outlet for these schemes. I have seen marketers claim income numbers that are completely fake, use those numbers to sell more BS. If you tried that in the real world, you go to jail. But hey, I guess earning money honestly is tough these days.Seth is a rare find. He functions at a level that even above average marketers cannot discern even when they pretend to do so. Clean up your business people and stop pretending. Integrity is priceless.

Unfortunately 99.9% of online marketers are inauthentic money hungry desperate mindless system slaves who have successfully made a name for themselves by doing nothing more than being willing to tell people that they are leaders. The leadership consists of telling others to teach others to teach others to tell people that they are leaders, too.When the scam is revealed they jump on the "you should know better" train and ride it until the next scheme comes. I respect Seth a lot and I agree with all his point. That said, "social networking" is probably a misnomer. If you consider it your personal media outlet, that's about what you get from Twitter or YouTube. You don't become friends with people just because they saw your advertising on TV, but it does not mean it's useless. Cost/value ratio -- yes, that's a big topic for sure. But it's certainly better than TV :-)

Also this setting people up in Companies is commen practice in todays work force. The average american will have some 10 diffrent jobs by the age of 20s and will have close to 25 by the age of 30. Note this is with not companies going through hard times but companies with people in charge playing king of the hill letting people go before they ever are given an honest chance to learn there job. Scary thing I learned recently this is being taught through upper managment.

I don't agree. All service delivery professionals have to compete with one another. Less so for doctors - they will always be in demand - but for revenue-based service delivery professionals (i.e. architects, lawyers etc) you always need to position yourself to be better than the next firm/competitor. If you don't you and the firm won't grow, in fact, you will probably end up withering.

@dobby240 not sure if its a copyright issue more than preference. Andy at Pro Guitar covers songs in every video. I think Paul just likes to improv, and play some of his own stuff as well. Which is respectable I think.

@thewashout its range is limited in the higher tones. its just not as bright as other acoustics. mainly because there is no sound hole directly behind the strings. all hollow body arch tops are going to be mellow on the high end. you may not even notice. i use flat wounds so maybe lighter strings will make up the difference.

Juat bought one of these and it's very pretty, both visually and aurally. Great tone and it feels great in your hands. The neck is silky smooth too. My only knock is it's not exactly a lively guitar. It's missing some of the brightness of some other hollowbodies, but dont let that dissuade you. It's very nice, especially for the $.

All the other archtop makers charging thousands more for their famous names on their headstocks are cursing this 5th Avenue Kingpin series. I own a CW Kingpin II and it is far and away a great guitar! Save your money and skip the ES-175, buy the Godin. It's better made and far less damage on the wallet.

I really want this guitar and I'm probably gonna buy it but I wonder 2 things a) is it loud enough acousticly? I play folk punk.. and is the double pickups better than the single P-90? I'm hoping this guitar will bring the acoustic folk sound to a nice punk rock tempo.. I'm using an Ibanez Artcore and it has the F-holes in it but its not a jazzbody..

I saw your post and thought i'd give my two cents. An F hole guitar like this is a smooth, warm, woodsy type of tone. not nearly as much volume or bottom end as a full sized dread. They are great for fingerpickin' blues and slide. if you strum on them really hard they tend to crap out and get muddy, almost like too distorted. Most of the really, really cool, old blues is on an archtop, or a smaller OM sized guitar. Hope that helps your choice!

It sounds very different. It's kind of hard to really describe the tone, except to say that it sounds beautiful, slightly woody, and is very articulate. It sounds great for blues, and rock. I'm not sure about metal, or hard rock. You probably want a more bassy guitar for those styles. It plays great, though. The action is super low (and adjustable!). Basically, it really is a dream guitar. I love mine to death. :D

hey dudes. ive been playing on a crappy hand me down acoustic for a while now and am looking to up my game. i was looking at a yamaha ll6 knowing it was a quality acoustic at a 500 price to learn and play on. however when i saw this guitar i knew i had to have it and there is no doubt one day i will. however i was wondering if this guitar would be for me as i like to play rock, hard rock, a little metal, and a lot of blues. would the sound of an f-hole be so different from a regular acoustic

This is how factory guitars are made, but guitars are still handmade in their thousands by luthiers using a very different approach to this. There's a DVD called "A Complete Custom Electric Guitar Build" (and a YouTube clip too) which shows how a guitar is built "by hand"!

@Mrlearnings any kind of burst finish on a guitar is going to vary slightly from guitar to guitar. plus lighting, camera settings, optics, etc. all these things play tricks with our eyes. I'm sure your guitar is just as beautiful, as is mine, as is that one at..... To be honest I would not mind if it looked a little "redder". But oh well. I love my Godin 5th Ave. Kingpin Cognac Burst. I've got some really great Flat-Wound Strings on mine. these are very great, moderately priced guitars.
