You don't find out until you watch the entire series. Actually let me correct it you never know but in the last of the series "Cube Zero" you find out how it works(different traps and look) and why the guy they found who was "Mentally challenged" was like that. Very interesting they actually planted a chip in his brain.

I had a lady in blockbuster recommend Cube 2, and it didn't make any sense. I went back and found out it was a sequel. This one is way better, but watching Cube 2 was mind screwing. I'm pretty sure only the first cube has the original vision of the writer/director. Any new plot introduced in the sequels should be disregarded because they were made for money, not passion.

the movie is awesome... its kinda mysterious movie, but its not really scary in my oppinion. But....it was very very exciting. it fascinated me like the matrix trilogy, and im gonna watch it again soon. I really recommend this movie, but only for person who can handle it! And there is a Counter Strike Source map for this movie, where some traps have been re-build. Its pretty adorable to play, there is one 24/7 server though.

in case it wasn't clear, i have nothing against beginner method. someone asked if he was using fridrich and i simply clarified that he was not. i also have no doubt that he can solve the cube, since i recognize his method and his steps. my issue is with this clip making him look (much) faster than he is to people who don't know how to solve a cube. however, after some thought, i will withdraw my comment about the prince's marketing, since that timer could have been added by anyone.

don't get me wrong, beginner method works well and can yield half minute solves when perfected. what i meant is that this is something anyone can learn because the steps are well documented. if he could do a real sub minute solve, or even if he can't and he posts a 3 minute time, i would still respect that. faking a sub minute solve though... that's just pure marketing bs.
