I made those with a large diameter 'Spade Bit'. It works but I found out using that tool in hardwood is highly dangerous and your piece might get thrown in your face. The drill will not like it as well. I suggest you take a 'Forstner Bit' with the diameter you want, much cleaner cut and safer to use. Thx for your comments btw. :)

I apply it thinly with a cloth (it's a thick fluid), wait 10 minutes, and rub it to a shine. You can use a cloth wheel on your drill for an even brighter shine. I usually stick with 3 layers, and re-apply one layer if it becomes dull. Good luck!
